My first salon job was as a receptionist, answering phones and folding towels when I was in eight grade. I started my career behind the chair when I was 19- at an all mens salon in uptown. I loved cutting mens hair and was able to take a number of advanced cutting classes through american crew- as well as learning different techniques from barbers I worked alongside.

 

After two years, I left the mens salon and began working at a fast paced, edgy salon in the heart of Minneapolis. The owner took me under her wing and groomed me into a double booking, fit anything on my schedule -kind of machine. She helped me build my clientele and through working under her, I was able to take extensive coloring classes through multiple distributors, as well as continuing education in cutting, styling, and extensions.

 

My love for hair extensions and blonding grew quickly and I began booking a large number of clients as well as developing a training platform for new stylists to learn under me with multiple hair extension techniques, and with the color line I still use today.

 

After ten years working there, I decided to start my own business and moved into a studio rental where I stayed for just over six years. I have continued to further my knowledge in hair extensions- offering my clients multiple methods and hair types to choose from! My love for cutting mens hair remains- with almost half of my clientele being men.

 

I am completely blown away and humbled by the loyalty and love I've received by my clients over the past roughly 19 years behind the chair. I am so grateful for a new opportunity at Eden Studios and to be able to offer my clients a great new experience!
